well then. this will be an interesting journal.

THIS IS WHY I AM PANICKING--------------------------------------->

next friday. through next sunday. reno. jazz. festival. oh shit.
come to think of it, reno jazz festival last year was like an anime convention. just replace artists alley with stands selling crap for your instruments, and replace the panels with clinics, and add a ton of school jazz bands playing crappy music, and voila! THE JAZZ FESTIVAL. maybe i can trick myself into liking it if i pretend it's a con. hahahahahahaNO.

we, the burlingame intermediate school advanced jazz band SUCKS. well, last year, we sucked even more (DEAD LAST DESU) because our teacher was a retard (no offense) but STILL. we suck. a lot. ohshit.

and you know what sucks even MORE? i have a solo. i have a solo. i have a solo. ihaveasoloihaveasolo. point being. i have a solo. damn.

if you know anything about jazz performances, solos are when people stand up and play crap by themselves and the audience claps just to be nice. there are a lot of good soloists in the world; some are even in our band. nick, sam, and hansoo actually play decent solos. wait, those are all the improv soloists in our band (rob and stephanie doesnt count because they play written solos) EXCLUDING ME. I SUCK. Period.

yet for some reason, the rest of the band thinks my solo actually is worth something. haha yeah right. last year i won a paper award for "Outstanding Solo" and my teacher said, "First solo award in intermediate jazz band! Be proud, Lulu."

Another thing. Because of this horrendous event, i will be missing a party. a family friend get together. at jodie's house. damn. first time in my life that i have EVER missed anything at her house. damn. damn. damn. damn. i feel really bad for missing it.

tl;dr i am in a state of panic over reno jazz festival.

seriously. we got last place last year.

it's been a BUSY week, and it will just continue on being busy.....frikking standardized testing going on, schoololympics, building a rube-goldberg machine in science, spanish project thing.......GAH!

i will try and upload more stuff, but the chances of one soon are slim. my wrist is carpal-tunnel-syndrome-painful because we just started swordplay in kungfu and it frikken hurts.

for my drawingthemusicgenre project, which should i do next? i want to do either country or techno, but my friend suggested hip hop or rap. any input?
